Joaquin Montoya

N Nicknamed “the reluctant shaman” and likened to the mythical Kokopelli, JoaqoPelli travels the world sharing ancient whispers and opening hearts with his double shamanic flute.


An American with Native American and Basque Gypsy roots, JoaqoPelli grew up in the loving arms of the Indian “Hugging Saint” Amma, before he was led to the ceremonial path at age 11. While living in Brazil and Mexico, he learned to play his flute at countless ceremonies.


For over 20 years, he has played in thousands of ceremonies and gatherings around the world and in 2014, began performing at music festivals to reach a broader community and call in the depths of joy and positivity.


He has led the opening and closing ceremonies at Shambhala festival in Canada and performed at Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, and Burning Man.


He also has recorded with musicians David Starfire, Morello, Ryan Whitewolf. He currently is based out of Los Angeles.
